There are likely wars about the logical structure (what we know today as IFO and VBO files on the DVD with a max throughput of 9.8kbps) and compression formats (Microsoft's Media format, H.284(?), and extensions of MPEG-2, to name a few). And what about what mechanisms will be put in place to prevent copying (and by extension fair use)? Sony usually shoots for stricter controls than other manufacturers.
