And Introducing Zoë Adelina Loyer

Just like I was crediting an actor's first feature length film. I believe she'll follow my footsteps. She's already so expressive.

On Tuesday, April 12, at 6:52PM, my daughter came into the world. The whole experience, from my wife's pregnancy on, is unlike any other. And to think it's just begining with her! Contemplating all the years to come of raising an offspring, is both frightening and wonderful. My life's forever changed, but I view it in the utmost positive way. Sure, it wasn't always completely positive, but now that she's here, I only want to do good for her. Be there for her. Fight the world for her.

She's new inspiration.

Congratulations Gabe! Great picture. Yes, I do believe she will follow in your footsteps. She’s got a great father/mentor to look out for her. I do believe it is a scary experience, but as you said, I’m also sure it is wonderful. You’ve got some amazing things ahead of you, and it will be quite a treat to raise her and be there for her. The best things are worth fighting the world for, and you’ll find her to be the very best.

Some beautiful thoughts, and a beautiful baby girl. Take no offense at my standoffishness around the child. I just don't go around handling other peoples babies. It is truly a wonderful experience just being around such a small and fragile young human.

I wasn't sure you were going to post about this. Unclear on whether the protectiveness would translate into Zoe going unmentioned on the blog, or I would have posted a congratulatory entry myself.

Do I spy an umlaut? I had suggested an accent mark to Angie just the other day. Way to keep it fresh!

Thanks guys. I take no offense at your standoffishness, Josh. I'm the same way. In fact it made me nervous about Zoe, but it's sooo diferent with your own child. I grabbed her right away with no qualms. I thought it'd make holding other babies better now, but Ella came over yesterday and I still had reservations as to holding her.

Umlaut, that's what it's called! I just know that I saw it that way when I was looking up names.

Congrats, Gabe! I feel the same way with other people's kids, at least until the age of 6 months or so. I always feel like I'm going to drop them.

Nice head of hair there!

Hey Gabe. I hope I'm not intruding on something private by posting on this thread, but I just had to congratulate you on your beautiful baby girl. I wish her, her mother and yourself oodles of health and happiness.

Thanks guys! No intrusion at all, RGL. I hope I can be in one of your movies sometime. Know that I'd be willing. No favors because I'm a friend of Brock now. I'll audition for parts with the chance of not getting it.

Yeah, uh, with Josh and Jer's comments in mind, let me just set forth now - before I meet Zoe and an awkward moment arises - I also don't like to hold other people's kids.
She's beautiful, and I'm sure she's sweet. I just don't
hold kids.

RGL - Gabe is on an audition kick lately. He actually auditioned for The Subject. If he had asked for the part, I probably would have given it to him, but he worked for it. So make him audition. He actually gives a good on-the-spot performance.
