Land Shrimp

There were many of these creatures jumping around the beach in San Diego. I called them "Land Shrimp." Apparently that is what everyone else calls them as well. However, I wasn't about to find out if they tasted like ocean shrimp. I would've needed a handful anyway. That little guy above is probably around 5-7mm.

That's freaky. I'm cancelling my San Diego trip!

I was freaking Bekah out because I was smacking these guys, trying to stun or kill one so I could take a closer look. I had to get a picture so I could find out what they were. They are also called "lawn shrimp" because they're often found in lawns of people that live near the ocean. They jump around like fleas.

Are you really going to San Diego?

Not anymore!

Nah, had no plans. We are driving to San Fran for Bridge School 10/29 & 30. I have extra tickets for the Sunday show, if you're interested.

Dude, nice shrimp.

What day is Bright Eyes again?

Both days, actually. All bands, both days. Except Dave Matthews, Sunday only.
