On another interesting note regarding Wong Kar Wai, is that he's used the cinematographer Christopher Doyle a few times. He's Australian but he's filmed quite a few Chinese movies, including a new favorite of ours, Hero starring Jet Li. He also filmed Rabbit Proof Fence, a very enjoyable movie.
